If you wish to catch a glimpse of the future, a visit to Gangnam is essential.

Thanks to its densely planted ginkgo trees, Garosu-gil is a 700m-long street that has gained notoriety as the "It street" of Seoul. It has earned the nickname of "Little Europe in Seoul" due to its unique blend of vintage items and contemporary establishments, reminiscent of New York's Soho district. This popular destination for trendsetters boasts luxury stores, restaurants, designer showrooms, antique shops, and furniture and interior boutiques.

Garosu-gil is renowned for its fashionable people, trendy shops, charming cafes, and sophisticated wine bars and restaurants. Notable landmark: Coffee Smith.

Since its emergence in 2006, this district has become an undeniable part of exploring the more stylish side of Seoul. Garosu-gil Street is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Sinsa Subway Station and is in close proximity to Gangnam Station, Cheongdam, and Apgujeong.

Local Tip!

Garosu-gil is home to a plethora of upscale restaurants. For an authentic Spanish culinary experience, Spain Club is highly recommended. Originally from Japan, this concept has brought Spanish cuisine to new heights in Seoul, serving delectable tapas, jamon serrano, cheese platters, and an irresistible paella. The shrimp squid ink paella is an absolute must-try, as is their homemade sangria!

For a comparison, imagine Tokyo's Ginza or Beverly Hills in Los Angeles – that's the level of fine dining, plastic surgery, and luxury shopping that flourishes in this area. Remarkable landmark: The Galleria Department Store.

Cheongdam, the modern and trendy face of Seoul south of the Han River, will make you question if you've traveled to Korea. Strutting down Apgujeong's "Rodeo Street" or Cheongdam Fashion Street will convince you that Seoul effortlessly stands shoulder to shoulder with the world's greatest cities like Tokyo, New York, and Shanghai. Cheongdam leads the way in all fashion trends, establishing itself as the trendsetting hub of Korea.

Local Tip!

When in Cheongdam, take a stroll east from Galleria, where you'll find major global fashion brands. Venture into the surrounding side streets and discover numerous cool and stylish shops. One recommended destination is "Addicted," a small multi-brand designer shop specializing in high-quality menswear and shoes.
